I'm equally comfortable in the left side or the right side of my brain. My creative side and my analytical, scientific side are both pretty strong.

I enjoy programming because I love the challenge of problem solving. It gives me a thrill to find the right algorithm for a problem. I enjoy building useful tools to make people's lives easier. Programming is a great cross between technology and creativity.

I enjoy painting, primarily in oils. I also like working at a potter's wheel. I have tried all sorts of different mediums, from sculpting with wax to making cards with dried flowers. I've even tried my hand at movie making. I am taking lessons in classical guitar and have recently bought a beautiful cedar Giambattista guitar.

When it's pretty outside, I love to ride my bike. I've discovered some great bike paths in Raleigh.
